Marotti Autosport has expanded its footprint in the NTT IndyCar Series through a new associate sponsorship with PW Power Systems (PWPS), a group company of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The agreement places the PW Power Systems brand on the No. 18 Dale Coyne with Vasser Sullivan entry for four events, including a marquee appearance at the 2020 Indianapolis 500.
Team principal Will Marotti framed the partnership as the product of a strong, values-driven relationship. “We’ve enjoyed establishing a warm connection with our new friends at PW Power Systems,” Marotti said. “Earning their trust means everything to us, and we’re determined to make this a winning combination for the long term.”
PW Power Systems brings a reputation for engineering excellence and rapid problem-solving to a sport where speed and adaptability define results. Company president and CEO Raul Pereda noted the alignment: “Just like top IndyCar teams, the keys to winning for PWPS are quickly overcoming diverse challenges and finding flexible solutions for our customers. We’re delighted to be part of Marotti Autosport’s journey, especially alongside champions like Vasser Sullivan, and we expect great things from this program.”
The deal also marks another milestone in Marotti Autosport’s IndyCar history. The team previously partnered with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports in 2016 and 2017, highlighted by competing in the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 with Oriol Servia. That experience, coupled with the current collaboration with Dale Coyne Racing with Vasser Sullivan, underscores Marotti Autosport’s approach: build credible alliances, deliver value for partners, and compete on racing’s biggest stage.
With PW Power Systems on board for a four-race slate anchored by the Indy 500, Marotti Autosport further solidifies its presence in elite open-wheel racing—bringing together proven engineering, championship pedigree, and a shared commitment to perform when it matters most.
